Noticeboard 1.X

Noticeboard 1.X is a Joomla! 1.5 extension, which is used to create and display notices. A notice(in this context) is a brief snippet of text or an image which can be used as an announcement, breaking news or a simple image rotator. 

This extension includes a component and module. The component manages notices and the module displays them.

Noticeboard component 1.4 

Noticeboard component saves and maintain notices. 

Set up

• Download Noticeboard component 1.4 for Joomla! 1.5.
• Install using Joomla Extension Manger. If you are new to installing extensions please read the article - Installing an extension  on the Joomla! website.

Features

• Notice Management ( create, edit, delete, publish and unpublish)
• You can include images and links in your notices if your content editor supports it.

• You can also use the component at frontend. If you want your site users to have component access, please follow these steps. Goto Menus -> SomeMenu (This is where you want the component to display) at the backend. Click New and choose Internal Link -> Notice Board -> Noticeboards -> Default Layout in the 'Select Menu Item Type' field. Enter title and other information and Save.

Noticeboard module 1.5 

Noticeboard module displays notices created through the noticeboard component. 

Setup

• Download Noticeboard module 1.5 for Joomla! 1.5.
• Install using Joomla Extension Manger. If you are new to installing extensions please read the article - Installing an extension on Joomla! website.
• After installation go to “Module Manager”, find “Noticeboard Module” and enable it.
